Wood Chair
The concept for this chair revolves around a screw-free construction, emphasising the connection between the subframe and the frame.
Progressing from initial sketches and small-scale models to a full-scale prototype, the final design takes the backrest into that connection as a distinctive element, and an intriguing shape follows from it.
A dark brown transparent finish on the spruce accentuates the triangular joint further. Captured in use, the piece marks the beginning of a deepening interest in working with wood.
